How Does This Click Counter Work?

This click counter works in the user’s browser, with no server round trip and no installation. The number increases by one when you tap the button once, click the mouse once, or press the Space bar once, and the digit display will change, with a small pulse and sound a “beep” sound (if enabled) when it changes.

Your current count, personal best, tally counters and settings are all saved in your browser’s local storage. That means if you close the tab, refresh the page or come back the next day, you will not lose your progress. Everything happens in your browser which makes this a private, trustworthy mouse click counter even for sensitive tallies like inventory counts or event headcounts.

Key Features

We created this click counter to add more than a single number at once. What makes it different from a normal clicker counter:

One‑tap counting, everywhere

It’s a touch-friendly mouse click counter for the desktop, and a complete tap counter for Android and iPhone – not a cursor-sized tap.

Built‑in speed timer

Try a 10-second challenge with a click counter, or set 5, 30, or 60 seconds – and catch your result as soon as the clock stops..

Live clicks‑per‑second readout

See a live click counter per second as you tap, knowing your pace, not the total score.

Double‑click counter mode

Switch the main button into a double click counter for testing double click speed or comparing to a specific input pattern.

Multiple tally counters

Add as many named counters as you like to and use it as a comprehensive tally counter board for headcounts, scoreboards or inventory in one place.

Custom step & multiplier

Count by 2s, 5s, or 100s rather than one at a time — ideal for scoring games or counting items in batches.

Auto‑save, no download needed

Your numbers are automatically saved in the browser, so there’s no external dependency and no click counter app or click counter ever needs to download.

Dark mode & keyboard support

Switch themes to match your screen, and click hands free by pressing the Space bar or Enter key.

Sound & vibration feedback

A soft click sound and haptic vibration are available on supported devices, so you can switch them on and off and make sure that each count is successful without needing to look at the screen.

  • Three tools in one — we have built all three in one tool: a simple counter, a clicks per second speed test, and a multi‑item tally counter board.
  • Comfortable to click with a mouse at the desk or tap with your fingers on a phone!
  • Quick and responsive — no slow scripts or ads between clicks.
  • Free, with no click limit — count to ten or count to ten million; unlimited clicks.
